Katharine E. Hamilton is a literary force, with over 40 books to her name and bestseller status on 36 titles, she has sold over 500,000 books, captivating readers worldwide. She is a multi-genre author whose career spans children’s literature, fantasy, and clean romance. Since publishing her first book in 2009, her stories consistently rank among Amazon’s top charts, earning both critical and reader acclaim.

Katharine’s love for storytelling is matched by a deep commitment to supporting fellow authors. She speaks and teaches at writer conferences around the country. Her experience navigating the publishing world—both traditional and indie—ultimately inspired her to create a platform where authors could connect with readers and one another. In that spirit, she became the founding organizer of the Rockport-Fulton Book Festival, a coastal Texas event dedicated to celebrating authors and giving them the opportunity to showcase their work in a supportive, community-driven setting.

Katharine sees the festival as her way of giving back to the literary community that has shaped her own journey—offering a space where creativity, collaboration, and connection thrive. When she’s not writing or organizing literary events, she enjoys life on the Texas coast with her husband and two sons.

Now, Katharine, along with an incredible team of literary enthusiasts, come together to plan and organize the festival. 

One of the festival's standout features is the dedicated children's wing, packed with fun activities designed to inspire young readers and spark their creativity. Whether it's crafts, interactive storytelling, or games, it’s a place where kids can dive into the world of books in a hands-on way. This year, the festival is hosting an exciting writing competition for aspiring writers in middle school and high school students, where participants can showcase their creativity and talent for a chance to win cash prizes.

For the adults, the festival offers complimentary coffee, making it easy to relax and savor the experience.  The event also includes author presentations and panel discussions, where attendees can hear directly from the writers themselves, gaining insight into their creative processes and the stories behind their books. One of the most special aspects of the festival is the opportunity for one-on-one conversations with authors, creating a personal connection between the creators and their readers.

Additionally, the festival showcases authors from all over Texas, providing attendees with the rare opportunity to hear from a diverse group of voices and perspectives, all while celebrating the rich literary culture of the state.
